There are many advantages when you choose to build a sand pool!

  • The technical data shows that the waterproofing is superior to that used in traditional swimming pools, with an elasticity of 300%, moreover, to having superior qualities of resistance to UV rays, ice, chemical products, and a much longer useful life.
  • The process of executing the work of the sand pools that Hidro Balear sells in the Balearic Islands is much more agile because the permits are less complex, the taxes are reduced, and the bureaucratic costs are much lower.
  • Biodesign® is a non-invasive technology, a technology like that of ponds, without reinforced concrete or environmental contamination, so it is much easier to obtain concessions and permits without risk of tax increases for the building.

 

→ Phase 1 | Excavation process

Excavation of the chosen pool and the different depths, creation of the submerged beaches and seats.

(Unlike what happens in the realization of traditional pools where an excavation is created with dimensions greater than those of the pool with the consequent filling of land, Biodesign technology does not anticipate any filling.) Once the excavation is carried out, proceed to the positioning of the recirculation installation.

→ Phase 2 | Protection

After laying the tubes necessary for the correct operation of the installations, a protective fabric made of geotextile material is spread over the excavated surface to protect the EPDM waterproofing fabric from possible damage due to stones or roots.

→ Phse 3 | Waterproofing

 
A highly elastic EPDM waterproofing fabric is spread over the geotextile fabric and adapted to any movement of the ground without suffering damage or fissures that could cause water loss. In this phase, the splices of the mouths are also made, and the recirculation skimmers are installed.

→ Phase 4 | Coating

 
In this phase the coating layer is spread over the EPDM fabric and the layers of stone with resin that consolidate the structure are placed on it.

Biodesign structural coating, composed of specially formulated resins and quartz, has higher mechanical tensile strengths for double bending compared to structural concrete.
