There is no need to excavate or pour concrete for the pool shell: the pool is assembled on a firm, level surface, so the work in the garden or on the terrace is minimal and assembly takes much less time than a concrete pool.

An above-ground pool is any pool installed on the ground without excavating the basin. A removable pool is one that can also be disassembled and reassembled in another location. All removable pools are above-ground, but not all above-ground pools are removable: in the Laghetto range, the Dolce Vita collection is designed to be relocated. If you are undecided between the Laghetto and Poolins, in pools without building work we compare the two brands.
It needs a firm, flat and level surface that can bear the weight of the water: each cubic metre weighs about 1,000 kilos, not counting the structure or the bathers. In a garden a concrete slab or a prepared base is usually enough; on a terrace or a roof terrace, an architect or engineer must first confirm that the floor slab can take that load. Before installing it, we check the supporting surface with you.
No Balearic regulation specifically covers above-ground or removable pools, so you cannot assume they are exempt. If installing one requires building work, such as a concrete slab, excavating to partly sink it or new installations, the general rules of the planning law apply, and earthworks always require a licence.
