Residential wellness: sauna with chromotherapy in a home in Mallorca

Residential
wellness

A dedicated space for well-being, right in your own home. We design and install saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and heated pools in Mallorca, integrated into your home and backed by our own technical service.

Well-being at home

Your moment of calm has a place at home

There are moments that deserve their own space: a sauna at the end of the day, a relaxing bath, or a break without leaving home. Residential wellness makes these moments part of your daily life, with the privacy and comfort of an environment designed for your enjoyment.

Hidro Balear's experience with pools in Mallorca since 1984 carries over to the design and construction of private spas. Our engineering department develops the proposal, coordinates the installation work and specifies the equipment, with plans and 3D renderings to visualise the result. Our in-house technical service means we can support you after handover, too.

For hotels and sports centres, we develop projects in commercial wellness. You can also view all our solutions for wellness and spa.

◉
Project

The project begins in your home

We study the space, height, ventilation, and connections to define the viable options. Each piece of equipment is chosen according to the conditions of your home, before deciding on the finishes.

◉
Comfort

A spa that's also easy to run

Heating time, energy consumption, and noise level are all taken into account based on your habits. We aim for a user-friendly installation, designed to be a seamless part of your daily routine.

◉
Support

Technical support beyond the build

Our in-house technical service in Mallorca handles inspections, repairs, and spare parts. You have a trusted team to care for your spa and address its needs over time.

Equipment tailored to your needs

Different experiences, one wellness space

Your wellness area can start with a sauna or combine several experiences. The selection depends on your preferences, the available space, and its intended use. Lighting, aromas, and sound allow you to personalise the ambience and create a cohesive design that suits the way you like to enjoy it.

Integration

A spa that's part of your home

We coordinate the materials, lighting, and layout to match the style of your home. When an architect is involved, we work with them to integrate the spa into the house design.

In Andratx Hills, the custom-made sauna, freestanding bath and relaxation area come together amid seamless microcement surfaces and warm lighting.

Frequently asked questions

The main advantage is having a private space to dedicate time to relaxation, without having to travel or book. You can easily make bathing, saunas, or relaxation part of your routine. The project is designed according to your preferences, whether you want to enjoy it alone or share it with the rest of your household.

It can include a sauna, steam room, hot tub, sensory shower, cold plunge pool, heated bench, heated pool, and relaxation or fitness areas. You don't have to include them all. The combination depends on the available space, the technical conditions of the property, and the experience you're looking for day to day.

A large space isn't necessary. Compact saunas and cabins that combine shower and steam are available, as well as custom-made solutions. The choice also depends on the ceiling height, access, and connections. A small space can accommodate specific equipment, provided it can be installed and used comfortably.

It's advisable to consider the floor area, ceiling height, ventilation, and electrical, water, and drainage requirements. In wet areas, waterproofing and humidity control are also reviewed. The intended use helps define the equipment, taking into account installation, energy consumption, and maintenance.

It depends on the equipment and how it's used. A spa requires water testing and treatment, filter cleaning, and checks on its components. Saunas and steam rooms need specific care for their surfaces and equipment. Automation makes some tasks easier, but it doesn't replace the recommended maintenance.

It adds a dedicated space for relaxation and enjoyment, with its own specific function within the home. The result should be judged on its comfort, its integration, and its intended use, not just its appearance. That's why we prioritise a practical layout, suitable materials, and equipment that suits your lifestyle, so that it still makes sense for years to come.

It can be, subject to a technical assessment. For indoor installations, we assess ventilation, humidity control, and access to the equipment. On upper floors, it is essential to verify the load-bearing capacity of the floor slab, taking into account the weight of the installation, the water, and the occupants. The location is decided based on this study.

Yes. Our own technical service in Mallorca offers inspections, repairs, and spare parts. We also perform pool maintenance and address the needs of the installation after it has been commissioned, with a service tailored to the equipment and usage.
